I am a registered Mental Health nurse with over 15 years’ experience in Health and social care. I have studied extensively with a BSc (Honorary) in Nutrition and Health from the University of Huddersfield, an MSc in Public Health from the University of Sheffield and MSC Post-graduate Diploma in Social Work form the University of Salford Manchester. I also have an MSc in Mental Health Nursing from the University of Central Lancashire which is well known for quality training in health and social care.

I am currently involved in minority research opportunities as a BAME nurse and have a keen interest in marginalization, social exclusion and deprivation in a modern society.

I have worked across Yorkshire, Staffordshire, Lancashire and Cheshire in various capacity in the health and social care industry including volunteering and placement opportunities relevant to my career.

I work across the Greater Manchester Mental Health Trusts (GMMH) as a trusted assessor with the Mental Health Liaison teams. This team work across A&E department to accept referrals from those who present to the accident and emergency department with mental health problems requiring further support or admission under the Mental Health Act.

I have equally worked with other trusts such as Cheshire and Wirral Partnership (CWP) , Merseycare NHS foundation and Lancashire Trust in inpatient capacity and with the community mental health teams (CMHT). Others services I worked with include Early Intervention services (EIS) (Manchester and Accrington, Lancashire), Home Based Treatment team (HBBT) (Wigan and Salford Royal) among others.

iMatter Warrington and North West is a community interest organisation aimed at protecting the most vulnerable members of the community in Warrington and the surrounding areas.
